Anand is a trained combat engineer and a paratrooper by profession and an ardent adventurist by choice.
Having served for more than 31 years in Indian Army, he has been exposed to all kinds of engineering and military tasks and have operated in variety of terrains, India is blessed with.
Anand is a ‘Fellow’ of Institute of Engineers, having successfully executed variety of Engineering tasks over years and had been fortunate to command an Engineer Regiment of Indian Army in mountainous area.
Beside professional career of an engineer in Indian Army, Anand indulged in his passion of adventure expeditions and journeys. This exposed him to travel widely in all the continents and also to participate and lead many trips and expeditions globally.
Although, his primary field of interest had been mountaineering, but Anand is more than just that. He has also been active in:

His pursuits have been recognized by the highest award in India for excellence in Sports and Adventure – Arjuna Award/ Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award.
