Scuba (self contained underwater breathing apparatus) is a system used for diving underwater independently.

It is used both for recreational as well as professional purposes. Scuba diving is popular in tropics mainly due to comfortable water temperature. However, it is also carried out in cold waters with special suits and gear to withstand the extreme cold temperatures.

o PADI ( Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the most widely recognized body which provides training and regulates the activity for recreational purposes. One can experience it once with the instructor and also gradually upgrade to become instructors.

o My exposure to Scuba Diving began in Maldives in the year 2000. Since then, I had upgraded my skills to the level of Dive Master and have explored the underwater world in India, Maldives, UAE and Thailand.
